My Training Bike

Well this last weekend involved bike shopping, all I can say is "wow".  I could not believe the cost of some bikes so while I start training I bought a cheaper hybrid schwinn bike from Walmart.  Training started monday (Which by the way right now is just trying to get up to 20 miles 3 days a week) and when i hit my first hill I was kinda regretting deciding to do this :).  On Wed the climb was much easier and am hoping that tomorrow will be even easier.

Let my church know what I will be doing next summer and was overwhelmed by the support.  One gentleman that has just started coming and has pastored some, came up to me afterwords and gave me some great advice on prayer that i would like to share.  He said that every time a siren goes off as a christian we should prayer which I have practiced and try to do when I hear one.  Then he said two other things I had never thought of in our papers everyday there are prayer request, the obituaries, and the criminals.  Both need our prayers.

Well the upcoming weeks look very busy with planning the route completely and training.  I appreciate the prayers and am hoping that this bike ride will make a difference as I trek across America.
