Day 37-First Century Ride

Philipians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Got my first 100 mile day took me 37 days but I finally was able to do it.  I had winds in my face, some scary construction, and what looked like was going to be a drenched body.  God is good!

Day's 33 & 34-New Mexico "The Land of Flats"

Do not make prayer a monologue - make it a conversation

So I go halfway across the country with no flats and have had more in last two days for five trips across the country. New Mexico not the land of enchantment but the land of flats:). Good thing is i am still on pace to finish July 22. God has been good, some people are amazed I have made it this far. I know the only way I have made it this far is because of he who is in me. To God be the gloryy!!

Day 30-Amarillo

Prayer Works!

So Today we rode into amarillo and met quite a few people at the cross in Groom, Tx.  Was a beautiful day and I got a lot of cloud coverage that kept me cool.  I was amazed at how texas seems flat as a pancake but you are consistently climbing.

Day 29-Into Texas

Beware in your prayers, above everything else, limiting God, not only by unbelief, but by fancying that you know what he can do. Expect unexpected things above all that we ask or think.

So We only have 4 States to go.  God blessed us with beautiful day and perfect weather for riding it was cloudy enough to keep me cool.  The access roads in texas are wonderful which is a great benefit!  Thank you everyone that is praying for me.

Day 28-Rt 66 Happy 4th

A sinning man will stop praying. A praying man will
stop sinning. - Leonard Ravenhill.

Was probably my toughest day to date and most discouraging day.  I think I just got a little homesick with it being the fourth.  God renewed my strength and vision by nights end.  Thank you everyone that prayed for me!

Day 26-Riding by moonlight at four in the morning

"All great soul-winners have been men of much and mighty prayer, and all great revivals have been preceded and carried out by persevering, prevailing knee-work in the closet."  Samuel Logan Brengle

So we started super early today like 2am.  It was a little spooky when dad had to leave me because the car was overheating and all I had was the light on my iphone.  We covered a lot of ground by the time the sun came up but the car overheating slowed us down.  Still cant complain about an 84 mile day :)
Thank you everyone for the prayers.  My body is getting tired but at the same time I feel strength every morning when I rise!

Day 22-25 Misouri to Oklahoma

Someone remembers, someone cares, your name is whispered in someone's prayer. So here's an update to get me all caught up!

Day 19-20-End of one week start of another!

Prayer is not an extra option, nor is it a last resort when all other methods have failed! When man works, man works, when man prays, God works.

So Here is the last day of week 4 and the first day of week 5.  I will be uploading days 22-25 later.  We are doing some night riding to beat the heat so our schedules have been pretty messed up.  Thank you for all the prayers.  If you haven't liked my facebook page yet click right here to go to and like it! Day Eighteen-94 Miles of Bike Trail

Prayer is the most powerful against trials, the most effective medicine against sickness and the most valuable gift to someone we care for.

Was a great Day did like 94 miles but didn't quite make it to Jefferson City, Mo.  My cell phone was about to die and I had a worried wife at home so I made the call and got a taxi to get me into town. Met lots of people on the bike trail and the shade kept the record missouri heat a little in check.

Here is an interview I did with a friend of mine from H.S. http://www.totalfusionministries.org/prayingacrossamerica

Day 17-Ustream streamed, Water ran out!

"Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. There is no cost, but alot of rewards. Let's continue praying for one another."

This week I was unsupported and the first day I messed up and got a little dehydrated.  Was a really good day though and I killed some Pizza Hut that night.

Day 16-Last Day of Week 3

Prayer doesn't happen unless you take time to make it happen.

Week 3 was a great week put on a lot of miles, and my son decided he wanted to see america (after he ate a cookie)!  Had a great fathers day video played before I preached from my wife and daughter.  Met a lot of people, actually met a lot of Christians some that needed encouragement.  Thank you all for the prayers!

Day Fourteen-A Friend from Ohio!

Luke 6:12 "And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God."

Another amazing day even saw a friend from Ohio.  I was waiting on my mom for a water refill and was messing around on find my friends when poof there was Erin Gent only 40 miles away.  Was a lot of fields to drive through but eventually made it to Terre Haute where we stayed with my Grandpa Jerry's daughter Ruth and her husband Shawn and their two kids!  Mom found out about 11:00 that she lost her wallet.  Shawn and Mom went out searching for it but it was not found. The next day mom retraced her steps but could not find it.  Saturday morning we were awakened by a call at 6:30 am and mom woke up saying somebody found my wallet before she even answered the phone!  God has been so good to us on this journey and his hand has been so evident.  God Bless you all.  Thank you for the prayers:)

Day Thirteen-Detours, Dogs, and Closed Doors!

"Satan does not care how many people read about prayer if only he can keep them from praying."

Was a great day weather wise, but a horrible day dog wise.  I ran into more dogs in Indiana than my whole trip.  The biggest problem was none of them were chained up.  Met a christian man and his son in Gratis, Ohio was nice to pray with him and fellowship with him for a while.  Ended up almost doing 100 miles I ended with 99.7 miles.  I had an amazing meal at Crackel Barrel to end the day!
